  • Though all of us hold a different perspective about being healthy, it does not always mean a disease-free life. It also implies a lifestyle which keeps you fit over a long time period. There are no shortcuts to health. However, it can be attained through a steady process that comprises of a perfect daily diet and regular exercise.

    Being on a diet does not mean skipping meals or starving but selection of the right kind of food products to be eaten at the right time. Generally, the everyday diet of an individual includes three major meals. These are breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, we forget that the snacks we nibble throughout the day also form a part of our diet. If these snacks are consumed in excess, it might result in weight gain.

    In general, the people who opt for many small meals instead of three main meals tend to gain less weight. Moreover, the everyday diet of an individual should be designed in consistency with the pre-existing medical conditions as well as requirements of his/her body.

    Breakfast is a mandatory requirement and can comprise of multigrain bread, eggs, skimmed milk, honeyed green-tea and sugar-free cereals or whole-wheat products. For dinner and lunch, you can opt for grilled chicken/ clear soups or low-fat wraps/ vegetable sandwich/ lean meat. In between lunch and dinner or breakfast and lunch you can choose from fresh fruit juices, puffed-rice, buttermilk, nuts and yogurt. Occasionally, you can also treat yourself to sweet meats or a piece of chocolate! In a nutshell, the perfect everyday diet implies striking a balance between the different nutrients that form a part of our daily meals.

    Weight loss is more about diet than sticking religiously to an exercise regime. Therefore, the inclusion of weight loss food products in your everyday diet is an easy way of losing weight. Shedding off excess fat from your body not only enables weight loss, but also helps in maintaining a healthy body.
